Junior Data Analyst

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join a professional and supportive team in a leading advocate organisation where you can make a meaningful impact in shaping the future of wind energy.

You will be responsible for identifying, collecting and processing data from the European wind industry and improving the accuracy and breadth of WindEurope’s online Intelligence Platform. You will report to the head of Market Intelligence.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Collect, record and analyse technical information related to wind energy including by proactively engaging industry players and developing a strong network in the sector;
  • Support the development of Market Intelligence products including quarterly Turbine Ordering Reports, National Policy and Regulatory Developments and annual products including Repowering in Europe and the Annual Statistics;
  • Support the Market Intelligence, Advocacy and Messaging and Policy Department teams with presentations and briefings including for Management;
  • Coordinate the Market Intelligence team’s responses to queries;
  • Improve the overall quality of data on the central database;
  • Represent the wind sector in external events.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, in a science, engineering or mathematics discipline preferred;
  • Previous professional experience in a similar position is a plus.

Software

  • Essential: Proficiency in Excel;
  • Important: Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint;
  • Beneficial: Familiarity with GIS, SQL, Python, and Airtable;
  • Advantageous: Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization tools.

Languages

  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • Other languages are an asset.
