We are looking for a Policy Advisor to cover distribution and methane emissions management topics.

Key responsibilities:

• Being the go-to person for all matters relevant for Distribution System Operators – for natural, renewable and low carbon gases – and for Methane Emissions Management;
• Collaborating closely with Eurogas team/members, external stakeholders and partner organisations;
• Being the voice of Eurogas at meetings with policy makers, events, and stakeholder coalitions;
• Drafting position papers and recommendations on EU legislative proposals and briefings for internal and external distribution. Develop and implement subsequent advocacy strategies;
• Keeping on top of, monitoring, tracking, and analysing EU policy developments.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in the energy sector and an understanding about the role of Distribution System Operators and about Methane Emissions Management is a strong advantage;
• We are looking for someone who is eager and capable of delving deeply into their area of responsibility, with a commitment to mastering the subject matter and becoming a recognised expert in their field;
• You’re independent, a self-starter and a good team player with an attention to detail;
• You have good project management skills, can manage meetings and respect deadlines;
• You’re ready to jump on a wide range of tasks and take the lead on specific projects;
• You have an excellent command of English (oral and written);
• You’re eligible to work in Belgium.
