Internship - Junior Coordinator, EU Projects

SEMI Europe has an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or Masters student with passion for European digital technology, project management and marketing. As Junior Coordinator you will support the management and outreach for four EU projects, two of which SEMI Europe is coordinating. You will work closely with our project and public policy management team in Brussels and our communications team in Berlin. You will primarily support European projects focused on skills, talent development, and DEI. Our projects are focused on the future of tech: semiconductors and microelectronics. In this role you will work with cutting edge partners from industry and the world of education and contribute to the future of skills and research development in Europe.

This is a 6-month internship position and reports to the Senior Manager, Workforce Development and EU projects in the SEMI Europe Brussels office.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination and the management of EU-funded projects at the intersection of emerging technologies, skills, business development and public policy;
  • Organize project meetings, workshops & project events (conferences, sessions, webinars) across Europe;
  • Draft background documents ( including deliverables, project and meeting reports);
  • Liaise with our communications team to edit, update and maintain communication channels, such as websites and other knowledge platforms for assigned projects;
  • Track project developments/deliverables and ensure cross-regional collaboration with communications/operations teams within SEMI Europe and with other SEMI global offices;
  • Provide logistical support to the projects and project meetings;
  • Identify new funding opportunities and assist with the drafting of new EU project proposals;
  • Other-general support to SEMI Europe team.

Requirements and Key Competences:

  • Recent graduate or Masters student - preferably in the field of international relations, EU affairs, public policy, political science, communications, or similar;
  • Available to work in Brussels for at least 6 months;
  • Keen (preferably demonstrated) interest into technology, innovation and digital single market;
  • Knowledge of European funding and project management;
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English; knowledge of other languages is welcomed;
  • Prior (volunteering and other) experience in a related field is an asset;
  • Additional certifications or specialization diplomas considered an advantage.
