ABOUT THE POSITION

To build excellence in health management we lead initiatives including research projects, working groups, policy and communication campaigns, and events. We are organised in three departments: projects, policy, and operations. The Senior Management and the Management teams provide leadership and support to all departments.

The successful candidate will be part of the Project Department, and work to deliver an outstanding portfolio of European-funded projects that supports effective health management across Europe. They will ensure excellent project and financial management through the timely completion of project deliverables and reports, and effective consortium coordination.

The Project Officer will work in close collaboration with both the Project Team to ensure the completion of all activities for a portfolio of EU-funded projects, and the Policy Team to ensure the inclusion of EHMA’s policy positions in all project deliverables.

The Project Officer will report to the Director of Projects, and will manage interns and volunteers.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan, implement and complete all activities and deliverables for a portfolio of European Commission-funded projects;
  • Deliver internal and external technical and financial reporting, as well as forecasting, regular monitoring, and planning of project activities;
  • Contribute to and produce briefings, speaking notes and presentations, content for communication channels, reports, position statements, and white papers in connection with the project portfolio;
  • Maintain excellent relationships with EHMA members, consortium partners and networks to ensure the successful coordination and reach of all efforts;
  • Contribute to proposal writing for funders including philanthropy, the European Commission, institutions and private donors;
  • Represent EHMA and its project portfolio at external conferences and events, undertaking strategic communications, information dissemination, and stakeholder engagement;
  • Ensure reciprocity and cross pollination between all projects and EHMA’s core work on health management.

Profile

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in project management and solid knowledge of EU-funded projects and funding instruments;
  • You have sound knowledge of EU reporting procedures, and ability to deliver technical and financial project reporting;
  • You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and have proven experience in writing proposals for funding, policy briefings, speeches, summaries, and meeting notes;
  • You can demonstrate outstanding organisational skills; priority setting; and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously to meet different deadlines;
  • You are proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and other virtual collaboration tools;
  • You have very good interpersonal skills and are a solution-focused team player. You have experience working in a small, busy, international team;
  • You are willing to travel within Europe when required.
