An analytical and strategic thinker, you will be responsible for interfacing with EU institutions as part of the overall EMEA Government Affairs business strategy. You will develop new high level contacts with EU and Member State decision-makers and extend existing ones, enhancing corporate reputation through direct contact and representation of agreed corporate positions. You will provide detailed political and legal assessments of the commercial and scientific, regulatory implications of proposed EU regulation & legislation, specifically in relation to Food Law and food technology and how this relates to EU Institutions, devising and implementing strategies to protect and advance the company’s interests.
You must have a Master’s degree, preferably in European politics or European law and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. You must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including fluent English. Other languages would be an added-value. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of consistently delivering results against time-sensitive deadlines in the midst of conflicting demands. An ability to analyze complex problems and take initiatives you will also be able to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity.
