We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead legal and compliance activities for our international business operations.
Job Description
As a Lead Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of legal matters, with a focus on B2B contracts, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's legal integrity and supporting our global business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate B2B contracts, primarily license agreements and service contracts, with international counterparties across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa;
- Spearhead compliance initiatives, including GDPR, DORA, and sanctions compliance;
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of laws, regulations, and standards relevant to our company's activities in various jurisdictions;
- Translate legal research into comprehensive documentation for internal and external use;
- Develop and maintain legal infrastructure for new and existing company solutions;
- Collaborate across multiple functions to address compliance and risk mitigation challenges, bridging the gap between legal and business operations;
- Coordinate and contribute to complex projects requiring legal expertise and multi-stakeholder input;
- Subject to successful onboarding, act as a legal team leader.
Requirements
- Law degree;
- Minimum 7 years of experience in an international law firm or consulting firm;
- Fluency in English (required);
- Proficiency in Spanish (preferred);
- Strong knowledge of international contract law and compliance regulations;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
