Your contribution will be

Coordinating FOUR PAWS Belgium’s external and internal communications activities, by conceptualising and implementing effective communication strategies.
Managing the communication route between Four Paws Belgium and the EU-based offices as well as the international communications team.
Preparing and distributing press releases and blog posts for FOUR PAWS Belgium and EU-based country offices of FOUR PAWS when relevant (‘translation’ of complex political topics).
Developing and nurturing media contacts in Brussels.
Preparing online communication to update all FOUR PAWS Belgium’s social media channels and for the international channels where it concerns European political topics.
Being responsible for all matters concerning FOUR PAWS Belgium’s website.
Representing FOUR PAWS Belgium in internal communication meetings and providing regular updates through internal FOUR PAWS channels (PAWSnet & Teams channels).
Supporting the team with reports and presentations and with the organisation of events (comms-related tasks).

Your profile ideally illustrates

Relevant experience with social media channels (particularly Twitter, LinkedIn & Instagram).
Educational background in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing/Public Policy.
Excellent written and verbal English skills and strong cultural awareness.
High degree of flexibility, creativity and ability to grasp opportunities.
Strong understanding of EU institutions and EU animal welfare policy.
Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission.
