Description

With the EU stepping up activities and policies to grow cycling, CIE is looking for a trainee to support our communication activities. This is a role best suited for a recent graduate interested in pursuing a career in corporate communication and European public affairs. The candidate will support CIE’s team in Brussels in communications. This is an exciting opportunity with the recent adoption of an EU Declaration on Cycling supporting the growth of the European cycling industry.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the team in communications activities (social media, website, membership mailing, newsletter, marketing material);
Copywriting for social media, mailings, and communication materials;
Supporting in the implementation of EU co-funded projects;
Supporting the organization of webcasts, external meetings and workshops;
Carrying out digital media monitoring and tracking relevant EU policy activities;
Creating and updating databases and mailing lists;
Assist in the planning and organization of CIE’s flagship event, CIE 2024 Summit.

WHO YOU ARE

Motivated, organized, philomathical and proactive;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Zoom, Mailchimp, Wordpress or similar;
Strong (English) copywriting and communication skills;
A reliable, positive, flexible and responsible team player with an ability to multitask;
Thrives in a multicultural environment;
Fluent in English, both oral and written; other European languages are advantageous;
An interest in cycling and related policy/public affairs areas, such as mobility, sustainability and industry, is an asset;
Legally allowed to work in Belgium and attend CIE’s Brussels office according to the COVID related rules in force at the time;
Available from mid July 2024.
