IEEP has a vacancy for a full time Senior Fellow and Head of the Agriculture and Land Management Programme to lead a busy and dynamic team of 10 researchers, focussing on the development and implementation of a wide range of environmental and climate policy issues that affect rural land use at both European and national levels, including the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

This is a key senior role within the Institute. We are seeking an outstanding candidate with: strong team management experience; an established reputation in policies relating to agriculture and land use; expertise on the CAP and rural development; policies relating to climate and agriculture/land use; and food. You must be an experienced, confident and effective communicator, experienced in policy advocacy and have an excellent record of achievement. You must have demonstrated strong intellectual capacity in policy research and analysis at EU level, and a strong track record of successfully bidding for and obtaining funding, project managing teams of researchers from different countries and a dedicated team player and motivator.

The years ahead are a critical moment in the development of European agriculture and land use policies. IEEP has a strong track record in influential research and policy advice which helps achieve real world change. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an influential, analytical and committed researcher, keen to play a leading role in policymaking on European agriculture, land use, rural development, climate and the environment, and happy to be challenged in a fast paced environment.
