Porter Novelli Brussels is a European Communications and public relations hub for international client work. We specialize in corporate and marketing communications for clients in food & nutrition, B2B and health & wellness. Due to some very exciting and challenging developments in our international network we have several job opportunities up to senior level. If you are a native English public relations and communications expert with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience (agency and client facing are assets), we have full-time opportunities available. We are especially interested in people with recent or prior experience withing healthcare or pharma, if possible combined with policy knowledge. But we would also like to invite people who are experienced within food & nutrition and have strong copywriting skills.

Our job includes

  • Translating client challenges into effective strategies and independently driving strategy execution;
  • Developing and managing communications and media relations programmes;
  • Managing and coordinating a multi-country PR programme;
  • Stakeholder engagement, particularly media relations;
  • Developing and editing high-quality written materials including press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, Q&As, website content and general client correspondence;
  • Responsibility, together with our most senior staff, in business development areas that can lead to organic growth within existing clients and also lead to new business opportunities;
  • Managing and coaching more junior staff members;
  • Active networking and involvement in agency initiatives.

We ask

  • A proven track record of project management and stakeholder engagement;
  • Proven (social) media relations expertise;
  • Proven ability to effectively organize and manage multiple responsibilities in support of internal or external clients in a deadline-driven environment;
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience, with a marketing communications and/or agency background;
  • Crisis communications/issues management experience (highly desirable);
  • Higher education, preferably in communications or a PR-related discipline.

Your talent

  • Outstanding written and verbal skills in English (English native is mandatory) and attention to detail; additional languages are an asset;
  • A commercial mindset and interest in business development;
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships;
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with others in both team and independent environments;
  • Developmental and empowering skills; you know how to engage talent and find satisfaction in sharing knowledge;
  • Flexible, stress-resistant, efficient, proactive, diplomatic and above all enthusiastic, willing and keen.
