Job summary

We are looking for a creative and dynamic team player to fill the position of a Manager Events and Communication. S/he shall independently manage Greenovate! Europe’s tasks in a number of EC-funded research and innovation projects. The Manager must be able to quickly grasp complex information on renewable and other environmental technologies. The ideal candidate understands clients’ needs, leads communication strategies and their translation into deliverables. S/he wishes to pursue a professional career in the field of EU communications.

The Manager will ensure that the management criteria of quality, time and costs are met for all tasks and, if necessary, will propose and take corrective measures in consultation with the Management. We offer a wide range of opportunities to learn and to demonstrate managerial and communications skills.

Main accountabilities

  • Provide a vision to our communication projects;
  • Own & lead our projects from A to Z;
  • Able to see the bigger picture, anticipating and resolving issues;
  • In charge of scheduling, tracking and enforcing;
  • Communicate with colleagues and suppliers to ensure that the best solutions are provided to our clients;
  • Prepare offers and negotiate with our clients;
  • Communicate with clients on project implementation;
  • Report to the different project stakeholders;
  • Animate project debriefs and take on board lessons learned.

The Ideal Profile

  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience
  • Independent project management and planning under own responsibility
  • Experience in event management, video production and development of communication strategies
  • Excellent track record in written communication (press releases, articles, web and social media, deliverables and reports in publishable quality)
  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Flexible attitude
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to bring teams together to make things happen
  • Ability to multi­‐task and perform well under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Digital proficiency
  • Desire to attain new skills in management & business development
  • Understanding of the European institutions and previous experience in communications and EU Project management are an asset
  • University degree
  • European nationality
