European automotive suppliers are world leaders in automotive technology for safe, sustainable and smart mobility. CLEPA strives to be an active part of the EU research and deployment agenda. As such, CLEPA and its members are part of an important project in the innovative field of Connected and Automated Driving, which holds large promises for the development of safe, smart and sustainable transport.

What is the job offer?

CLEPA is looking to hire a Project Manager at its Brussels headquarters on initially a 1-year contract to support CLEPA and its members with defining, testing, evaluating and demonstrating technical specifications in the field of connected and automated driving, as part of the ENSEMBLE consortium.

The main tasks are to:

  • Lead the daily management of the project activities including the project administration, reporting to the CLEPA CTO;
  • Ensure, in close cooperation with the technical project officer, that technical reports and analysis, various verification and implementation requirements and other technical tasks related to the project (i.e. vehicle-to-vehicle communications interface, sensing the vehicle environment, driver interface, strategic use cases/services) are delivered timely and at the highest standards;
  • Organise, prepare and follow-up project consortium meetings, work package tasks and internal and external meetings;
  • Maintain excellent and efficient relations with members of the organisation and partners of the project.

Who are we looking for?

For this challenging role we look for a candidate who has 3-5 years of experience in working in the European research projects eco-system. Technical knowledge in the fields important to connected and automated driving is a plus.

Desired profile:

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent level; technical background in the electronic and/or automotive automation domain, previous experience in the heavy-duty vehicle sector and with connected and automated driving is an asset;
  • Excellent project management skills, mature and efficient in liaising with many different stakeholders, focussed on achieving the expected results;
  • Hands-on multi-tasker and time keeper, thriving under time pressure;
  • Deep interest in the workings of the research and innovation activities at European institutional level (Horizon2020);
  • Keen to work in a multinational environment, bringing partners and stakeholders together;
  • Ability to work independently, able to offer and defend solutions convincingly;
  • Excellence in writing, editing and speaking English; good knowledge of other European languages is a plus;
  • Clear communicator and team player;
  • Availability to travel on short trips in Europe.
