Arolsen Archives - International Center on Nazi Persecution

Bad Arolsen, Germany

The Arolsen Archives are an international center on Nazi persecution with the world’s most comprehensive archive on the victims and survivors of National Socialism. The collection has information on about 17.5 million people and belongs to the UNESCO’s Memory of the World. It is an important source of knowledge, especially for younger generations.

The German government funds our activities and is committed to supporting us in future. However, as right wing extremism threatens our democracies and Holocaust denial is on the rise, we have developed an ambitious strategy to respond actively to the challenges this brings. We want to make our unique collection easily accessible worldwide and develop targeted and innovative services for a broad range of users – including those generations for whom WWII is only history. For this, we need additional resources and supporters.

The successful applicant will set up a new department and will work with passionate and hard-working individuals who all want to see this international organization make a difference in today’s society.
