We are currently looking for a Policy Advisor in the field of agriculture and environment. Fertilizers Europe represents the interests of the European fertilizer industry. We are the source of information on mineral fertilizers and the sector’s voice in Europe. We deal with questions related to agriculture, environment, technology, safety, economy and trade, as well as supporting our members with statistics and other information.

Our offices are located in Brussels and we have a multi-cultural team of 12 staff members.

Your challenges:

  • Support our activities and projects in areas of agriculture and environment;
  • Coordinating internal work within Fertilizers Europe’s related to nutrient consumption (such as meeting preparation and follow up, background preparation…);
  • Carry out statistical work related to agriculture;
  • Communicate with EU-institutions and other stakeholders;
  • Follow the scientific debate around farming and plant nutrients.

Your key skills:

  • European University degree in agriculture, incl. an understanding of the role of plant nutrients;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant post-degree experience;
  • Enjoy working with numbers, spread sheets;
  • Experience in managing projects or networks;
  • Experience in EU public relation/lobbying;
  • Knowledge of fertilizer sector and its contributions to agriculture a plus;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English a necessity, other major European languages a plus.

  • Analytical skills;
  • Good interpersonal and communication relationship skills;
  • Ability to travel.
