UECBV is recruiting Secretary General (SG) - full time, indefinite, Brussels-based.

Responsibilities

  • The public face of the organisation;
  • Office leadership;
  • Giving direction and clarity to the organisation’s management;
  • Strategic policy development;
  • Enhance representation of the organisation;
  • Look after the interests of its members;
  • Expand the organisation’s current visibility.

Requirements

  • University Business degree, preferably PHD, Master Degree or MBA in political science, law, economy, veterinary medicine, agronomy;
  • Solid track record of strong leadership, building and motivating effective and productive teams in an association of comparable size;
  • Experience and understanding of the EU Institutions and their procedures;
  • Experience and understanding of the Single Market;
  • Experience and understanding of international development issues, including trade and economic development;
  • In-depth understanding of the meat sector;
  • Excellent English (UECBV’s working language), knowledge of French and German - an asset.
