Responsibilities:

Engaging People

  • Agree policy priorities and oversee the delivery of the UK policy programme;
  • Project manage the organisation of policy committees and provide effective leadership and support to Policy Chairs, Committee members and the Board Policy Subcommittee;
  • Work with UK business groups and UK government to deliver concrete outcomes from ICC’s global and national campaigns – UN, G20, WTO;
  • Assist in the organisation and hosting of delegations in the UK and overseas;
  • Foster and coordinate global policy networks;
  • Relationship manage key policy contacts and networks in HMG, Parliament, WTO, G20, UN;
  • Deliver high impact campaigns;
  • Respond to government and intergovernmental policy consultations;
  • Provide an evidence-led approach to policy shaping;
  • Promote best practice and compliance to ICC rules;
  • Contribute policy briefings, infographics, blogs and dynamic, relevant content;
  • Identify world renown international speakers and coordinate world class event agendas;
  • Contribute to ICC revenue targets by helping to demonstrably increase membership, publications, sponsorship and ticket sales;
  • Promote and provide support to ICC’s International Court of Arbitration as required;
  • Provide effective and motivational management for the policy team including regular feedback reviews and reports;
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining a fun, cohesive team environment;
  • Undertake administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications and requirements

  • First class verbal and written communication skills with a good attention to detail;
  • Ability to process, simplify and communicate complex information into plain English;
  • Campaigns experience – proven ability to mobilise companies and stakeholders around critical priorities;
  • Experience in the commercial use of Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media platforms for sales and marketing;
  • Degree in a relevant subject such as international relations, business, development, law, economics;
  • Min 2-5 years’ work experience preferably in an international business, business institution or government/international organisation;
  • Familiarity with the key stakeholders within the UK business, government and global institutional community.
