We are seeking a superb candidate to join the QCEA team as a Peace Programme Assistant. This is a one year role, with a possible extension for a second year. The role supports the implementation of our peace programme, advocating for peacebuilding approaches and policies from our offices close to the European institutions in Brussels. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of EU policy-making and experience in undertaking thorough research on peace and security issues, drafting a variety of outputs and/or supporting the implementation of advocacy projects. The role will support advocacy towards EU policy-makers to respond nonviolently to challenges, discourage the use of military responses where they are likely to be harmful or ineffective, and build the capacity for peacebuilding. The role will support the Peace Programme Lead in research, event organisation, and programme monitoring and evaluation.
