Oxfam International is looking for a Partnership Manager to increase Oxfam’s impact, influence, and income for Oxfam’s development and advocacy programmes through its partnership with ECHO. Working with the confederation members of Oxfam, this role will contribute to these goals through strategic development and management of this relationship. This post will form part of the Oxfam International Secretariat’s Institutional Fundraising team, and will be based in the Oxfam EU Advocacy Office in Brussels.
Oxfam’s relationship with ECHO is extremely important as a leading international humanitarian donor agency. The Partnership Manager will broaden and deepen our engagement with ECHO in Brussels on global issues. The role will identify worldwide priorities and funds, allocation of funds for new crises, influencing the context and priorities of ECHO’s Humanitarian Investment Plans and monitoring ECHO’s Framework Partnership Agreements system. The post-holder will strategically engage to better position Oxfam as a key humanitarian actor, working with Oxfam affiliates to increase income, influence and impact for Oxfam’s humanitarian programmes. The role will contribute to Oxfam’s overall objectives in several key ways: strategy development; relationship management, new business development; account management; capacity building; and external representation.
The successful applicant will have success in building and maintaining relationships with donor agencies in the European Union, with a quantifiable record of raising significant funds from institutional donors. S/he will have proven experience of leading on an organisational funding strategy, be a strong influencer with excellent communication, account management and relationship management skills (internal and external). We are looking for a strategic and analytical fundraiser, with the experience and ability to analyse the donor environment, identify trends in the market and anticipate changes. You will be value driven, accountable with a track record of stakeholder negotiation and donor leadership.
Fluency in English required and competence in French and/or Spanish is desirable.
Oxfam International Secretariat is based in Oxford, with advocacy and campaigns offices in Washington DC, New York, Brussels, Geneva, Brasilia and a liaison office with the Africa Union in Addis Ababa.
